Love the message of taking time to figure out what you actually want to do, but disagree with the fact that familial pressure is "fake hard" its psychology and often harder to fix than the fact that you're not on that sigma grindset
So you might not know how to answer this question. But I work in the hospitality industry. Hospitality is my passion the hotel industry is my passion. I want to own hotels. I'm 23 years old. I'm going through a divorce. I have two daughters. How do you get back up from not being able to see your kids for a year because of their bitter mother. And still continue to have the same drive and passion that your daughter's gave you when you can't see them?
I'm 21, have a fiancé and I just want a normal life. Both him and I come from abusive households so while we're engaged young we have extremely good communication & are even currently going through extreme stress in breaking free from our parents. The housing market where I live is insane and €200000 cannot buy you a house anymore to give you an idea of how it is. Renting is not possible, so we don't know what to do & I'm trying to put myself to uni by travelling 4h a day. For people like us taking the safe route is EXACTLY what we want to do. If it doesn't work out we'd be screwed.

I'm starting a 6 month cyber security course for myself and I can become fully certified and make 60 to 120 grand a year and when I graduate this program they will find me a job so thank you for giving me the confidence to do this

This doesn’t apply to me or people like me – I had to pay bills from 14+ and started working at 13 to help pay for my clothes/supplies for school. You’re able to take risks if your family’s stability doesn’t depend on it. If I didn’t help pay for my parents mortgage – we could not afford our house. However, the grind still needs to be the same. I’m at that “5 year” mark mentioned and I look back and am extremely proud of how far I’ve come & I hope this gives some solace to those walking a similar path that I did that things get better. ❤️
