This is not a judgment ... I'm just inviting parents to take a look inside at their own motivations. What place are you parenting from? Is it based on the actual kid in front of you and what they like and dislike? .. or does it come from trying to prove something to yourself or others? More accountability from parents will lead to much happier kids!

Not all 13 to 19 year olds are the same, but the one General piece of advice that I think would really resonate is are you parenting them based on what you've seen from them in the first 13 to 19 years of their life? Or are you parenting them based on societal acceptance Or the way you were parented Or the way that you think people will judge them on how you parent them? Are you parenting them? Are you parenting from a place of your own Selfish Place Many parents misstep because they're selfish and not selfless. Are you forcing them to be an engineer and a doctor because that's the culture you're from and you think they'll make more money and then they'll be stable and happy when they're an artist that.

My kids were given what was called in the olden days, "an aristocratic education". What does that mean? They were given a well rounded and balanced education which was only available to the very wealthy. Nowadays this is available to all if you're willing to put in the effort. All areas are covered…. academic, physical, spiritual, artistic, sport or martial arts, self sufficiency, independence, contribution, an understanding of business and economic principles, health and wellness, critical thinking and questioning everything, leadership and much more. All excelled in every area, all worked and paid for their own toys and gadgets, made their own decisions and the consequences, took responsibility and took action. No topic was off the table or not discussed. They were always guided but never forced. They were smarter than their teachers and by the time they were in the workforce, they were running rings rings adults ten years their senior. It was a twenty five year journey of upbringing, guiding and mentoring and lots of sacrifice but the results speak for themselves. Most parents won't do it and just leave it to the state. Pity. Imagine what society would look like.

My ex tried to be my daughter's friend rather than her parent, yes she lived with her full time and no I didn't like it but I was an outcast and didn't have a say

I'm 22 and my parents have never put pressure on me to be anything. Even in college i've switched majors twice and they've been super supportive and understanding.

In 2021 I taught my dad how ETH works and how NFTs work and taught him how to navigate good and bad projects, and eventually how to buy his first NFT, which was a VF1… which we flipped from 1ETH to 15ETH in just 8 months.

He said to me "you know, you might not know what you want to do yet, but you sure know how to make things work for you along the way to figuring it all out"
