Let there be no confusion... I'm not saying you can't be great in school and also start a successful business. Im saying that the framework of today's traditional school system doesn't cater to entrepreneurship. Those with that real entrepreneurial DNA know.. it's not the classroom that prepares you for the game.. it's being on the field and living in the dirt!

School Fail you or you failed school. School failed me. You know what's funny? Yes and no. In the past I would say yes, the school failed me, but I also chose to fail within that environment I Think we failed each other.

The good news is I Don't think it had an impact on either. You're being taught to play Within the lines and there's nothing being taught that maps to the entrepreneurial. Market But I will tell you that when you go from 12, 15, 18 years of that ecosystem and you go into a market and you create an app, the market responds to your product and a lot of these kids have not been able to take the punch in the mouth that comes along with entrepreneurship.

I was 11 years old selling candy in school making $75 a day, I had a kid who was a couple grades above me selling for me. A kid told the principal I was selling candy, the teacher pulled me aside took all my money and candy and basically told me next time I’ll be suspended etc.

That scared me as it was the first time anything like that had happened. I tried selling again but the anxiety got too much and I never did it again. Fast forward 13 years and I basically do the same thing for a living (buying and selling products) but it took all these years for me to get back in touch with that side.

Legit was just thinking about the “school failed me” clip. Really resonates with me and I think the rest of the context is important. Sure we coulda done better in school, but it still was not built for us

Maybe yes and definitely no, maybe no and definitely yes. I chose to fail and failing chose me, but success was me and I was success. There is no line to draw besides the lines we draw and we color outside the lines. You know? Then you make an app and check you algos… and. You know?

    stare

    It's that easy!
