The one day in was me realizing we made a mistake … it happens, we all make mistakes hiring … it’s a reallllly hard game, but as business owners, recruiters and managers, It’s ok to put in effort to build someone up when you mis hire but …. Also be ok and humble enough to admit a mistake and move on respectfully and with candor and grace ❣️❣️❣️❣️

How do I know that the person I'm going to hire you don't I get Gary I've got really good hiring advice. Learn to fire fast. You guys have your ego tied up in your hiring. You think you're so good at hiring and then you hire somebody.

and they're But you may pretend they're not because firing them admits that you were wrong. So it's your own ego that's holding you back. My ego is only balanced by my humility. I Hired somebody for hundreds of thousands of dollars Six months ago.

Interviewed him three times. I Fired him one day into working at Vaynermedia. I'm like, check your ego in the door. you're not that great at hiring.

But good news: nobody is.

    Some managers are much better at hiring than others. Those are facts. But nobody bats 1.000. To fire someone after one day speaks more about the company and the manager than the person hired. Not impressed with that story.

    Well I hope you had a rock solid reason to fire someone on their first day, unless you expressly told them written in triplicate and a totally binding 3 months trial period and I am pretty sure if I could command a 6 figure job in his field a 3 months trial period would be an insult and I wouldn't be working for the V anyway.
