This resonates on another level for me today. I relocated my whole life from Kansas to Texas after my offer letter said, "$5000 relocation assistance" and a week later I was told they would not honor the relocation. I then have found out since, it is because I was too fat and the CEO didn't want me to take the job. I wasn't a superficial, thin woman like the protocol of his employees of his company. It is disgusting to be judged by your physical size and not by the level of skills you have to accomplish a job and be successful. I went from Employee of the Month to fired, because I wasn't the "right fit." The COO commented to my Director that quit on my first day, "She is way too big, you shouldn't have hired her, she isn't a good fit." The Director and HR Manager were so disgusted that the CEO & COO would comment that they both quit even after I agreed to move here despite the recall of my relocation assistance. I used to let my weight define me, I refuse to anymore. I have to stand up and be a testimony for every person, male or female to ever be discriminated against because of their physical size. Jaime is in inspiring and authentic and absolutely beautiful. I look forward to some day sharing my story as she is to help impact lives in a positive and profound way, authentically.
👑 I love this because this is super inspiring.
This whole thing is gold.
Powerful!
Shes all about money
Гарик, пожалуйста учись не перебивать собеседника…..я понимаю у тебя энергии в разы больше чем у среднего человека, но в роли берущего интервью – это прямо режет ухо.
worst thing to do in the world is to lose, based on somebody else's advice
that really hit me
Gary vee , bad treatment with gima karlima
The makeup story is the same here! And I lost my job in the beautysalon of it. Thankyou for sharing this
Hi Gary, I'm an artist(mainly musical) , I did not know about you unitl today. Your video got recommended to me by the algorithm. Can I just say thank you. You've come at the perfect time for me and have already inspired, motivated and helped me sort out a current mental dilemma. I'm Looking forward to the rest of your journey and legacy and hope to meet you one day. You're a way maker my man, my God's favour be over you and may his hand protect you from those who will try to take you down
This was amazing! Thank you
I'm so interested in being able to do what I love and document that, and spark conversation around it, and I just KNOW that Gary would say to just start, so I'm laying out my thoughts here: I've got a BFA in Graphic Design. I love it, but what I truly love more than anything else is just being outside, connecting with nature and people, and (odd addon, but here I am haha) playing sand volleyball!
I also work a shitty part time job despite thousands of resume and portfolio tweaks and applications to full time design jobs/internships.
As a result I'm stuck living with my family – not the worst thing ever, but it's not something I want for myself.
I love your message Gary, and I guess I'm just afraid of taking the first step, because I'm not certain what my focus even is or should be.
Should I just take my first step into the light, and document everything I can along the way?
It's scary haha.
