@garyvee in the meeting where you are speaking with several influencers, you mention that perhaps your company has too much kindness, that people were let off unaware because they hadn't received feedback sooner that something was wrong.
From content of your's that I've consumed, i doubt you'd want to read the book "Radical Candor" by Kim Scott but I'd suggest inviting her to come speak at your headquarters. The premise of the book is about finding a way to challenge employees directly while caring personally. She shares a lot of stories similar to what you mentioned where employees needed to fix how they were performing but because employers cared too much, were too nice, the employees never received that feedback. She also shares your views on steve job's management style. I think her message would really resonate with your team at VaynerMedia.
