This question and answer came from Episode 3 of the #AskGaryVee show!
Question: Most common mistake founders make when building a consumer-facing business?
Answer: There are so many mistakes being made and to be honest, the biggest mistake and misconception I see is that it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. The audacity in the marketplace right now is completely ludicrous. It's stunning. You can't just wake up one day and decide you're going to beat out anybody else looking to scratch the same itch you're looking to scratch. The truth is that people just aren't self-aware enough to understand that they're just not good enough to get the job done. I'd love to be in the NBA but you don't see me going out for tryouts, do you?
