#QOTD: Are you coming this Saturday? Yes or No? Also, I need your recap of the first 50 episodes of the #AGV show. What's the best thing that it's done for you?

0:00 Intro
02:24 - If you don’t care about the competition, what do you say when a client asks you about a competitor and why you’re better?
04:02 - White lies, do you believe the hype? It seems you can’t win in business without bending the truth?
06:40 - Is the lack of chairs in your office a part of instilling the hustle in your employees?
08:29 - I saw a discussion via Linkedin about Klout scores on a resume. What are your thoughts on them?

When people bring up my competitors I tend to respond in a condescending way. Quite honestly, I dislike my competitors (in the context of the game/business). When people bring them up I try and tear them down as quickly as possible. My competitors? Oh, you mean those people who are trying to win awards while I'm over here trying to actually sell sh*t?
Deep down, I'm just not a fan of my competition. Anything I think that'll make somebody realize the value in working with us is something that I will push and fight for throughout the discussion, no matter what. Look, I'm a salesman, a talker, with great tact and enormous empathy. Hence why I win as often as I do. I can read a room and I know in real-time how to navigate the conversation and find my way to the top and win that discussion. Others? They just can't. They may just not be good enough to communicate their value without sounding awkward or inappropriate. Some just don't have it.
Look, I can play the game and I know when to turn it on and off, but others just don't have what it takes to communicate their worth and their value. I care SO MUCH about my clients that I'll do whatever it takes to make them realize how worthwhile it is to work with me (VaynerMedia) as opposed to anybody else. It just is what it is. Other people just need to apply different routes and tactics. But quite honestly, any other route besides the one that I roll with, is sh*t. Period. End of story.

I'm watching the show backward so I can't say what's the best thing from the first fifty episodes, but in general, I love the story when you replay "Now what dick" to everyone who told you that you were insane, years later!

No I’m not coming on Saturday because it’s 2019 for me. But real talk I am a parent now and I think the way you described your mom complimenting you on the mundane was pure gold. I know I will be a better parent to my daughter because of you and the askgaryvee show.

Gary, it's 2017, and I'm catching up on all your episodes now! Luckily I get to study you and your show for my work, so it's time well spent. In 50 episodes I have learnt first and foremost to give my entrepreneur husband the freedom to spread his wings and do his thing without giving him a hard time for not being home to put the kids to sleep or whatever other parental duties. You have taught me about giving him more patience and also giving myself more patience in the work I do as well. Your tidbits of information and charisma are very entertaining and great to watch. It's a shame I didn't get to know you earlier, but I feel fortunate to have come across all your stuff now. I went to traditional school, I have three degrees, but I am learning so much more in the technical and practical aspects of life, living, and just "being" from your shows. Thanks so much!

Gary – Thanks so much for this first 50 episodes. I recently started watching you so im going through all in order. First answer to the QOTD, well its obvious lol, but for the second one here are some of the things that are already helping me.
    1- Macro patience-micro speed
2- The value of doing the work and filtering things out that are not really important
3- The connection with other people and how you focus on your strengths.
4- To conentrate on looking forward on the race and not look around to the side to see what other people are doing.

Thanks man, and just a heads up I will be answering the rest of the QOTD, thought about it since the beginning but did not want to be overwhelming… now im doing it. Thanks!

In the last two weeks I've listened to the first 50 episodes in the background (like many people do music) while I worked. First, I'd like to thank you for keeping me company and helping my mind stay sharp while I handle a mentally draining task I'm addressing. Second, THANK YOU for putting these out there. You have shared a ton of wisdom with so many people and I just happen to be one of them. In attempting to give you useful feed back… I don't have anything that comes to mind. Even on the days where you are visibly down (such as day after a Jets loss), you still bring more energy than MOST PEOPLE COULD EVER HOPE TO MUSTER! You address a wide range of questions, and yet there are a handful of themes you come back to. Your TRUTHS, if you will. Hard work. Empathy. Self awareness. Focusing on strengths. No expectations. Not dwelling on mistakes. Realizing there are winners and losers. No excuses. I think you'd find this amusing, due to all the content I have consumed from you (and I've started applying what I'm learning in my vlog OneTake (started in large part because of you) and in the book I'm writing about my personal transformation) I am very pleased that I own 3 of your 4 books (don't own Crush It). I'm also pleased that I have shared your content so much on FB and Twitter. You have provided me enormous amounts of value and I'm glad I've been able to play a very small part in supporting you through book purchases, comments, re-tweets, and shares. I think my friends and family members could learn a lot from you that could help them improve their lives if they took the time to listen. But even if they don't. I will. And I'll execute. Carry on sir.
