Something that’s been on my mind for a minute ….I’m not just talking about being more respectful to your grandparents , I mean in the same way it’s non sense that people think GenZ is lazy when there’s millions of genz’ers going super hard … I think it’s even more scary that we are so missing the wisdom of many 70-100 year olds on earth and feel comfortable making silly jokes of their lack of technology skills when many of them have figured out “life” or have worked through their shortcomings and can teach us how to … start being open minded and open hearted to making friends who are 2-3X older than you and aren’t a relative, they might bring great joy to your life and you to theirs

We don't talk about ageism. we have a major ageism issue because of technology and that's what's cool. We just on 80 year olds, many of which put the foundations down for us to be doing what we're doing. I'm unbelievably a big fan of people in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s because I think they have deep context for life I am fascinated by the growth of Technology creating a narrative where we completely have not valued wisdom and experience anymore and that if you're like over 50 and you're font size on your text is Big you suck I think that's completely backwards and I actually think a huge opportunity is to lean into experience.

I've always felt a bond with people who are 60+. It's true, people seem to dismiss them, almost as though they are obsolete. Remember these are not old iPhones. These are experienced people with rich knowledge and perspectives to share.

Can’t even get a tip from my elders lol If you work a trade, all the old heads would rather die than pass you the info.

You just earned my utmost respect. I wish we looked at age as beauty and the wealth of wisdom it is. My mom worked in a nursing home and I’d go with her as much as I could as a kid. I loved to sit and listen to the stories of what things were like when they were younger. You can learn so much from them! In Asian cultures their elderly are highly regarded and make all the decisions in the home. They have 2 to 3 generations in one home helping and learning from one another. There aren’t any nursing homes for people to throw them away in and forget them. The US overall treats our elderly like trash because we throw them away. It breaks my heart.

And the thing is, at least in the first world, the population is getting older and raising quite fewer kids… so, a large portion of the audiences are going to be older individuals (increasingly). Plus as mentioned, the experience is a huge value for almost every context.
