New podcasts created are down because it’s hard … everytime there’s something “new” people get excited and go into it .. but after it matured, people realize they aren’t a “radio star” and that’s ok .. and that’s why things plateau .. but.. if you’ve got “it”
You should start a podcast and how do you know if you have “it” … you try … u do 20 Shows and see … new shows should be up .. because the opportunity is enormous

Because it's hard down 80 new shows from 2020. every time there's like a pop culture boom. a new app A New Concept a new platform podcast YouTube social media blogs back in the day websites iPhone apps, nft projects uh uh, being a rapper, being an athlete. these were not things that people thought about as major professions in the 1930s, 40s, 50s and then everybody sees and then everyone tries.

Having a successful podcast is hard. It doesn't mean I mean to me, everybody who watches this should try and do 10 episodes of a podcast because God forbid AKA God Willing. You've got it like that. It's an amazingly fun career and lucrative and you get to talk about what you want.

But the reason things go down after they get a little mature is because it's hard people give up after 20 times posting on social on Tick Tock or Instagram you're like oh, I didn't go viral Shit's hard out here.

Truth. Which is why starting and consistently executing something is great — the competition thins out and eventually eliminates themselves the longer you’re playing the game.

Over saturated market and the code is trying to get cracked by pumping videos daily. The more info floating the less people will be able to take it due to lack of time. I listen to 5 podcasts and Im still in 2016 episodes because I physically can't catch up with them.

In my opinion a ton of people saw Joe Rohan make big money and decided they wanted to hop on board. Just like they did when instagram influencers were getting “free” trips and living a lavish life. Now it seems like those who are already well-known have the realest chance for success w podcasts. I do think lesser-known people can succeed if they put the effort in though
