It was so incredible to participate in Dave Ramsey's event. Thanks to everybody who came out, and a HUGE special thanks to the lovely people who stayed after to help me make this episode.
To me there is no such thing as "an entrepreneur with a JOB." If you're a true entrepreneur, you can't breathe when you have a JOB. If you're not out there making it happen and running a business, you're not an entrepreneur, you're a person with entrepreneurial tendencies. Now that's fine. As long as you're HAPPY that's what matters.

I’m scared to fail my fiancé. My parents. All of my friends because I’ve always talked so much about wanting to be successful and here I am at a fucking job that’s paying me minimum wage yet when I went to 10 interviews in the last 2 days I got offered 7 jobs and at one (car sales) I sold a car off the lot before I was even employed there.

But I can’t work for anyone. I feel like I’m suffocating when I have a boss, even when I love them. I still hate having to report to someone as if they own me. That may sound dramatic but fuck this. I can’t do it anymore. I’m 30 years old and I don’t give a crap if I die trying. Gonna make it happen.

Fear of mom dad, and some select close friends watching me fail is absolutely there. But I may be most scared of myself. I’ve failed a few times, and I now REALLY debate whether I’m an entrepreneur or just hobby based. I beat myself up cause I can’t figure it out. It’s crippling. I will say I’m just glad to be alive lol. One day I’ll have more clarity

He goes a bit overboard on the whether you are an entrepreneur question, and if you have a job, it means you are not an entrepreneur..(and only have “tendencies”). there are countless examples of really successful entrepreneurs who first had FT jobs.. (cannot remember a lot of specific people but it is at least half of them.. ie Zynga founder, Zappos’ Tony Hsieh, Henry Ford himself, Guidewire, Salesforce, Oracle, etc etc etc..) there may be just different types of folks – ie hardcore natural sales types like Gary but many other ones too – if someone is relatively rational / analytical and does not have a family business they can join, there is nothing wrong with getting an education and some experience so you have smth to fall back on if your initial business does not work out (as anyone, especially those who are entrepreneurs, know having a professional job and income is much more certain than the likelihood of a new business succeeding — and going back to a decent job if things dont work out is much better than going to a low level low pay job if you did not invest in that first.. you can work in that professional job for some more time, save up money and try again – which is much harder in a low paying job…)
