You can try to label yourself however you’d like but people are always gonna take you as egotistical if you push your views like this guy does. Egotism and confidence aren’t even on the same spectrum they don’t effect one another. You can be totally confident and totally egotistical at the same time.

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars St Louis IX says:

Agreed. Ego manifests itself in arrogance whilst confidence is simply knowing yourself and being comfortable with yourself _– coming from humility!

Its honestly interesting how people take this guy’s everchanging stories, conflicting morals and just flat out lies lmao. I mean yeah masterd the art of selling you the most basic info while acting like its a secret or something, but that doesn’t take away that he’s an asshole lmao

The real problem, is that people with confidence end up surrounding themselves with people that are arrogant mistaking it for the same thing. The corruption is the key, not whether someone is confident or egotistical. I actually see A LOT of people promote narcissistic behavior and just ignore confidence, not label it as ego. Most other things Gary says are spot on but this I think pertains more to the time he grew up in. Confidence is usually invisible and speaks for itself. If people are pointing at your confidence and saying ego, it’s probably because you’re selfish. Confidence with the lack of being humble and generous to your community is just as bad if not worse than ego or arrogance. It should be used to teach and help others, otherwise it really is just ego.

Oooof, this is so true. So many immediately default into thinking anything is about ego, when that’s just one element in the equation of one’s behaviour or presence

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nonya Beezwax says:

Did he give any examples what a egotistical person would be and what a confident person would be in the same situation?

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Lousey123 Sey says:

This guy is the master of speaking but saying nothing. If you want to start something in your life, stop watching these bullshit videos…and don't come at me with that shit that I'm in denial 🤦‍♂️.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Roberto Blake says:

Most people who accuse others of having an ego, often are triggered because they themselves lack confidence.

Confidence is not arrogance. Confidence is built on results. Arrogance is built on delusion.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Beardsley says:

Egoism is also important for happiness. Two words that people confuse are egoism and narcissism. These are not even close to the same concept.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars PK says:

Confidence enables a person to be happy with who and what they do whereas ego makes a person unhappy letting others be happy of themselves.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Junipear says:

People: "Why aren't you more confident in yourself?"
    Me: starts being more confident
People: "Eww, such a big ego"

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Keith Larsson says:

My confidence has to push my ego out of the way sometimes….

    Sometimes confidence has to b i t c h SLAP that mother f u c k e r
