Gary had a really great meeting with the DJs from 105.1. They got into a conversation about a lot of the advantages that come with being raised in the "dirt" or difficult situations. They talk about how adversity builds character and makes you more tolerable to challenges in the future the consequences many suffer from growing up without adversity. They also talk about the importance of perspective and their outlook on things they felt were unfair and out of their control. Be sure to check the timestamps for all the topics covered... Enjoy!

    Dear GaryVee

Hope you'll read this comment, i'd be interested to hear your thoughts better , debate this.
I've been following you for some time now which you'll believe is weird probably as I am an anarchist.

I guess we also connect on where or parents come from, my parents too were from the ex USSR.

    grew up on the west side of europe, in what you could called a getto;

I come from an art background but after a while decided to study politics and econmy on my own.

For 5 years I've studied all sorts of social structures in human history, including heavily studying capitalism in theory (smith, ricardo, hayek, etc….) (hence I can say that I am an anarchist), for 3 years, I've been studying the practicality of it in the real world (which led me to understand that we're not in smith's idea of capitalism, just like lenine didn't create Marx's vision – even If I don't really follow marx either – lenine actually made state capitalism (in his own words, but also if you study the structure of it : communism is power to the workers : USSR was power to lenine and his friends just like any state capitalism work : trump and his friends, obama and his friends, Merkel and her friends, Macron and his friends, and so on..)
I've also studied in theory and in real life anarchism.

From what I see, yes you've been "sorta" coming from the dirt (not everyone has a daddy who owns a business even a small one.
And I can see you're trying to help people, at least you think you do.

And really I actually do have some compationate feelings, I understand. And I'm trying not to be to harsh, and no I'm not a loser (even though this kind of concepts doesn't compute with how I'm thinking).

So lets dig a bit into what you've been saying :

First of all when you come from the dirt , its because of inequality and injustice (specially in a capitalist society).
This can affect your mental health in various ways, cuz we're all fucking different, different strenghts, weaknesses, sensibilities I would say. Some get "stronger" some don't, and some breack, some finish in jail and some kill themselves too, some lives with trauma for the rest of their lives too.
It's not persepective, it's fucking life, and yes context is part of it, and yes everyone is different and no one will react the same when shit hit the fence.

Second, there are no losers, but there are oppressors.

You didn't steal from them, but being a capitalist, by essence, you did steal, of course you're background and ego has constructed this naration of "the entrepreneur from the dirt who's gonna saves his dirty friends" but in reality, one become rich because other are poor (it's called capitalism).

Now I understand that in this framework you geniously want to help others and believe you 're doing so.

But if you really wanted, you could (if you were let say an anarchist) redistribute the excess of capital and save lives, people on the streets and so on, create a community that is self autonomous and resilient and stop being part of the people who are destroying this planet and all life on earth.

Now you thik you help peiple by telling them to accumulate what i call toilet paper (or fiat) or whatever currency that is also oppressing people into servitude and survival. To do what ? to learn how to accumulate more toilet paper ?
Why 99% don't know shit about their own body except doctors (we live in our body we should be experts of what the heck is going on in it, yet we don't), just like we should know about nature, about what food you eat in the wild, stuff that actually matters, about philosophy, about art, about poetry and how to be a strong independant but respectful person that's also helping others.

Now If you read this, in all courtoisie, I dare you to debate with me, or at least on those topics,
(I don't seek fame, aside from my art but not like this, so it can be by mail).

If I, an anticapitalist anarchist I've taught msyelf how to read and understand trader's charts, how the entire economy of a capitalist socieyt works, from the fractional banking system to where to invest my fiat.

Maybe, you can do the same and learn soemthing new and opposite to you. even if you still disaprove it at the end.

By the way, I don't need to be rich, but I believe I'll get to a million in a year or Two.
the difference is I'm gonna actually create a community for when this economical depression really kicks in, as a shelter for people to make secession with this suicidal system.

My goal is to make art and be happy too, and to help others.

We just have different approches to it, yet coming from a similar background.

    Cheers

I had to come back and watch. I was just on Instagram and YouTube seeing people with nice houses, cars, life’s and it’s depressing. I’m not in a bad position at all but seeing what I have compared to them was bringing me down. I’m better off than the masses and I needed to remind myself of that.
