People are dictated by their options and GenZ realizes they have many, now, the economy can change and unemployment may spike and thus rendering options to be not as fruitful or easy but the macro stands regardless, GenZ has way more Options because of the scale of the modern internet and I think that means they are thoughtful of those options not lazy!

This happened to me when I wanted to take time off from school . Everyone went apeshit just because I wanted to be happy while young

    Gen z is a split
There’s a large portion of entitled, lazy, dopamine intoxicated, can’t even have the attention span to read a book, and arrogant teens that believe they’ll succeed someday somehow but without a plan

Then there’s the other that works harder than the rest, on par if not harder than previous gens, create plans and don’t allow social media to consume them. They consume the part of it that will lead them towards the direction in their life they want to head into.

It's a good point, but gen x and y got the lazy lable too so I'm not sure I'm convinced. Just because a few have been successful in controversial ways, doesn't mean the whole generation has it figured out. Gen x and y got a lot of grief for their worthless majors in college and complaining about why their degrees aren't giving them a living. They got dissed because they thought they were entitled to careers so they didn't work because they didn't want a job outside of their degree and perceived careers. So it's definitely still happening and I think both points are valid.

No, they're not lazy. They're just not willing to work for the same reasons. Getting yelled at and treated like shit from the customer and then turning around to get yelled at and treated like shit from your boss for asking them a question to get an answer for the customer. Then put on top of that, they've been told their whole lives to put off on creating a family. Guess what? They don't have little mouths to feed. They don't have to put up with anyone's bs for the sake of keeping a job. So yes they do demand a better work environment otherwise you can do it yourself. Good luck making more money with 0 employees.

"that boomers created"…this is the problem with gen z…their lazy thinking. if it weren't for boomers and the patriarchy and western society etc. you would be sleeping in a mud hut without electricity and internet. Speaking of privileges…

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Somara says:

A boomer is affecting my money/raises and promotions though… I sometimes feel I’m not doing enough. I work my ass off only for someone to take my work ethic for granted.

Great points. It’s nice to know that technology has made so many opportunities possible.

It’s down to the individual and their upbringing, however the socials (mainly Tiktok) shares a lot of Marxist/‘woke’ ideology that is chipping away at the social ‘norms’ in attempt to bring down capitalism and capitalists such as the Gary Vee’s of this world. The stereotypical Gen Z characters will not be interacting with you Gary.

Do boomers not know Gen Z are their grandchildren?

Its not they see they have options. Its that they are unexperienced in life and ultimate the softest generation ever. They whine cry about everything. It doesn't mean they see options other generations don't. Its they are beyond soft plain and simple. Not everyone can be at the top and they all think they can and when they cant they throw fits at the normal jobs they had to get to make it more comfortable instead of having to actually work. Trying working a 100 hrs a week on salary, 7 days a week with no appreciation or raises, no medical and running your bodying into the ground the profit of the owner. Then you can throw a fit. Also they are just as greedy as anyone before while being poorer then any before. The fact that they carry a 1000 plus computer in their pocket that they NEED shows that and then the need to buy a new one every year, plus over paying for shoes etc. They are just as dumb and greedy as every one before its just that they are softer then any before.

So the kid at the store standing around on his/her phone that gets exasperated when I ask them to help me find the item I'm having trouble locating isn't lazy? WELL SLAP ME SILLY!! All joking aside, I don't think lazy is the correct term. I don't really know what the correct term is. But, I can tell you what I see, and that's a lack of proper work ethic. Not from everyone. But, there's a lot. We can't all get rich from social media.
