If you're running a small-to-medium digital shop on a local basis, you NEED to watch this.
As a social media strategist, and internet marketer both of your problems are: How do I get customers to believe in the value proposition and how do I find people to execute it properly.
The number one sales technique I have is that you should never have to convince anybody about anything. I have no interest in selling to you if you don’t believe in what I’m selling. It may seem like a basic sales technique, but a lot of people waste a lot of energy on this. A lot of people go out and try to say “Hey Tony’s pizza” you need social media and Tony’s response would be “you need to get the hell out of here” that is about where it ends for me.
I have no interest in ever convincing anybody that my value proposition on social media marketing is right, because I would much rather spend all my time on the offense and none of it on the defense. Here’s an analogy: “I would rather you turn around a thousand stones then to try to dig deeper under the 50 stones that you turned over.”
Number two, I think you should be knowledgeable about who who can do the things in your town before you ever go out and sell. You should have a fairly good understanding of the freelance/capabilities and rolodex because if you walk in and you start turning over 1,000 stones and you get 40 yes’s, it’s time to work. So I would highly recommend also having that sales technique / preparation in your pocket before you start as well.

Love this little clips (though I REALLY enjoy sitting down to watch the longer stuff where you go into detail) Can learn a lot in just a minute or two.

This is perfect for companies looking to break away from the norm of every other Tom, Dick and Harry (and Jane) out there trying to drum up business.  It's so important to maintain a message that is fresh, consistent and above all, honest.  Never over promise, never under deliver and always communicate… nice video!
