Gary Vaynerchuk builds businesses. Fresh out of college he took his family wine business and grew it from a $3M to a $60M business in just five years. Now he runs VaynerMedia, one of the world's hottest digital agencies. Along the way he became a prolific angel investor and venture capitalist, investing in companies like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Uber, and Birchbox before eventually co-founding VaynerRSE, a $25M angel fund.
The #AskGaryVee Show is Gary's way of providing as much value value as possible by taking your questions about social media, entrepreneurship, startups, and family businesses and giving you his answers based on a lifetime of building successful, multi-million dollar companies.
Gary is also a prolific public speaker, delivering keynotes at events like Le Web, and SXSW, which you can watch right here on this channel.

Where are u ghost and ndd
I believe in 10,000 hours. I'm no one to talk, so ignore me, but I believe the difference between those who have made it and those who havent is a couple 10,000 hours. 10,000 hours cultivating talent. And maybe another 10,000 hours marketing that talent. The market decides which music works? Then artists need to work to make the "market" value them..
There are millions of wannabe artists that don't make it? They havent put in the time to make good music, or market thier good music.
There are a lot of wannabe musicians who make bad music believing it's good?
They havent put in the time training thier ears, and using their ears accurately, rather than than biased thinking.
Thats just it.. Training your to ears to hear quality of music is yet another skill, which can and must be learned by any great artist of today.
Anyone and everyone believes they're a good singer UNTIL they finally record themselves.
Great artists dont accidenatally make hits? Well, unfortunately sometimes thats just how it is. The musical creative process will forever be one of experimentation. Great artists just know how and what to experiment with, and how to define the results of those experiments as hits or as failures.
If you put in 10k hours, you couldnt do it? Thats because you didnt want to. Talent is a mixture of passion (hunger) and work.
Basically, I do agree that the market decides which people get to be "successful artists". I disagree with Gary on the belief that the market is uncontrollably dependant on the vague factor that is, "naturally born talent".
Artists are just entrepeneurs who entrepeneur art. The mentality stating "any regular person can't become a successful artist" exists, and it is one of the factors creating the value of art. Thus, the market.
No one will probably see this for years to come, but I do think I formed a solid arguement.
So I actually love Jahan and Yasmine, but over the last 4 years since this was produced, they've shown very little growth in relation to engagement to their fans. I say this as a fan of Krewella for almost a decade now, but this interview really shows where their levels of self-awareness and understanding of a brand were in 2016 and I just really hope they've improved since then. Never really been a fan of Jake though. He seems like the kind of person that spends his evenings screaming motivational speeches into a bin.
Here we go with the age discrimination bs.. This 3 are so stupid . I’m on Gary’s side.
this gary dude loves people to agree with him. he is butt hurt about the 10 000 hrs thing he wouldnt just let it go. ego issues. its okay not to always have people think you are right even if you are. they lost me there . on to the next vid.
I love this episode! 1. Gary I feel too many people agree with you all the time, Yes because you are right haha but I like the fact that they spoke their true selves on this show. they will learn you are always right when you speak about a subject haha again but I love that they challenged you while at the same time they also had great points! amazing content always
Jahan (most left girl) still had long hair here, fucking beautiful, now she cut it. 🙁
WALK AROUND AND FREESTYLE EVERYWHERE YOU GO EVEN WHEN YOUR WALKING TO THE STORE YOU CAN BECOME NICE ASF DEDICATION IS KEY……
this was good Gary was right but not having everyone going yes Gary 3 bags full Gary, it brought the best out of everyone and interesting depth really enjoyed this one.
I love this! More of this! Always looking for value as a musician.
"dream your dreams but make friends with what you are…" John Mayer… i think we're saying that here…
Talent trumps work ethic
