Most of society's rules and traditions are based on when people were dying at 50 years old. Most of the rules of when you should get married and what you should do and what you should have accomplished is literally based on the last Century's DNA You are so young you have every opportunity. Technology is exploding at a speed where your life can change in a minute on a decision and literally literally the only thing that is you up is you worry about what other people think about your life. Do random, try new things, you have your whole life in front of you I Couldn't be happier for you.

If you're standing right now, you have a hundred years to live. That's actually how it's going to work out for you and you need to start acting like it.

That’s so true! Growing up in a strict home, I’ve been pleasing people my whole life. I’m 27 and I don’t want to do that anymore. I want to live for me.

You should get married early so you become a man with responsibility, or because you’re a woman and it will make you happy. Stop teaching people that these teachings were in place because people died at 50, its nonsense. The teachings were put in place for the betterment of society and to raise strong children that don’t have anxiety/depressive episodes.

    Please grow up

Big G, the value of someone's self-esteem (i.e. what they think of themselves) plays a big part in how they act, interact, and what they will do with their lives. That's got to come from within.

The majority of my ancestors for hundreds of year lived into there 70s and 80s. I did my family tree a few years ago and noticed that they all had lived longer than I expected. It turns out that if you served childhood you would likely live to 70. The average life span was 50 because soooo many children died bringing down the average.

The message is pointless. We might be able to think like this, but as long as people like us are not "in charge" of society, we will never be able to act on these beliefs.

This is terrible advice. Don't encourage young people to waste their young years.
