It's time to adapt .. instead of fearing or banning new technology, why not embrace it and use it to our collective advantage? Instead of worrying about ChatGPT "giving you the answers" to the test, why not focus on the critical thinking required to ask it smart questions? Why not educate around that? Something to ponder 🧠

Watching all the schools around the world ban chat GPT is so devastating to me. They would rather have kids memorize things that they could look up on the internet in one second than to teach critical thinking. The reason AI is going to be so profound is it's going to teach critical thinking. You have to put something in the AI for something to come out.

We have a chance to teach these young kids around the world right now actual critical thinking. That is actually how life works and yet we're Banning it throughout the world.

He should’ve gave a solid example of a successful scenario of his critical thinking point in order to drive his point home. Still an effective short tho

You do understand that the indoctrination I mean education system does not value free thinking just good worker drones that's all they produce hard working "taxable" citizens

The current generation coming out of school has on average a lower iq than the previous for the first time in 100 years. Technology is actively ruining children's/teenagers ability to retain memory.
The reason chatgpt is being banned is because it writes essays for kids. The essay, in which they would express thoughts feelings and opinions on what ever the subject matter might be is equally valuable. It's also been proven to be completely politically biased which wouldn't be a issue if it was openly admitted but is an issue when heavily bias opinion is being presented as fact.

Tech world is expanding but we don't need that influence on young children. As an engineer myself, I agree to Schools limiting technology to young kids.
We should understand the pros and cons of these softwares irrespective advancements in tech. There is a need of gradual introduction to these things to the kids. 👍🏻

The funny thing is you can actually engage with the ai and it would be more interactive like a teacher than searching stuff but then obviously gotta fact check because ai learns from everything online and not everything online is factual

I hope it continues to be banned and in more than just schools. I'm super happy to see that Utah is banning teens under 18 from using social media unless they have their parents consent. Let's hope the parents smarten up and do not allow their children access to social media at all. Huge win. I hope to see this all across the country some day. Children have no business being on social media. Argue with me all you want, just know that you're wrong.

I also stand by my opinion that Gary should just stop talking about things he really doesn't understand. You don't understand AI, dude. You don't. Because there just isn't enough data for any of us to truly understand its capabilities. It will not teach critical thinking. You said as much with "they would rather makes kids memorize…" Yeah, as they should. Because that is how the brain learns. If you want young people to learn critical thinking, jamming tech in their hands all day is a sure fire way to guarantee they won't learn a single thing about it because, as you said, they can just look it up. Searching for stuff on the internet takes no skill, no talent, no anything. Open a web browser and hit buttons. Nothing really critical about that. AI will program the programmers. If anything about this "devestates" you, its because it probably disrupts some sales pitch you have planned to push more garbage on people like these dumb NFT's. It's amazing to me how easy it is for someone like you to brainwash people in large, coagulated groups. You could crap on stage and this, albeit impressive, flock of sheep you've amassed will run up and eat it as if it were their first meal.

Once upon a time the mobile was same things people saw mobile will destroy our child Now what happened 😂 everyone using mobile Same thing happening Ai also😂 so Don't judge

I half agree and half disagree. If students are using ChatGPT to have it formulate entire essays, then that's a problem. If they're just using it to get a base to start and write their own content, then that's different

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars D Vee says:

This is totally incorrect, because AI kills creativity and analytical thinking. It could provide fake information and people would be easily manipulated. Let’s begin using technology for improving people’s lives, the world and not only certain individuals who benefit from taking advantage of people.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Amir A. says:

To say that AI is teaching critical thinking is insane to me Gary. I know for a fact that men can't be women, and yet an AI made by a large ESG corporation says otherwise. That is not critical thinking, that is indoctrination. They want your children to be stupid, they want them to need a crutch, they want a child to think that he's thinking. They want total control.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jorgezt32 says:

If someone gave Gary a business propossal made by chatgpt, he would instantly discard it, or worse, stole the idea and do it himself without me.
