Employees care about different things. I Have employees who want more money make sense I Have employees who don't necessarily want more money. They want more vacation time cuz they just had a child. Makes sense I Have some employees who you know in my mind are a little bit insecure and so for them it's not the money.
it's not the vacation time. They just want a more senior title on their LinkedIn and their resume as a boss. as a leader, it is not your job to judge what your employees want. it's your job to understand, understand what your employees want, and try to make it happen.

I just have coworkers & I can see this w us. We all definitely have different wants. I have a particular coworker who kinda annoys me & I guess bc her wants are just so different from mine she throws me off
Hadnt seen this guy in a while, was hoping people were no longer making him relevant
Very well said. In my line of work over the last 10 years I’ve seen and been around so many idiot managers who have no idea why they can’t retain employees and it’s because they expect $30 an hour quality work but they pay $9 an hour with no benefits. If you want to have a success business, take care of the people that run your business plain and simple.
