I just got done having a conversation with my mom about my entitlement. I am a 16 year old girl in Illinois, and I never ever want to become entitled. However, I do have it. I was picky about everything. Thanks Gary for reminding me that I gotta eat shit. I want to, because I know it will make me strong. But right now, things are going to be uncomfortable, and that's a good thing. I gotta be grateful for the age that I'm at and the body I live in. My advice to this kid is that he should use these "distractions" as motivation.He should tell himself he can play drums only if he completes his work to the best of his ability.
I'm 20, my dad is also an electrician and this hit me so hard, I had exactly the same thing with struggling to enjoy that hard work but seeing this and putting into perspective how good I have it man this is exactly what I needed to hear wow
