We call every single customer and thank them. New Jersey is one of the only states that allows you to record your calls so I've been able to go back and listen to some of these phone calls. I would call customers and tell them thank you, but they hung up because they thought they were going to be sold something. A lot of our customers are actually calling us back and apologizing for being rude because they thought there was going to be a catch.
We've become really cynical, because we're all in sales mode. I truly believe in my heart that a lot of people are putting a lot of effort and oomf into planning their wedding then putting energy into their marriage. I truly believe that is the analogy of how people are treating their business and marketing tactics. I think about this every day.

When I order music gear from Sweetwater, they do a similar thing. And honestly, it annoys me even though they're not directly trying to sell me anything. If someone's going to interrupt my day, especially a business, it better be for something useful. Email is fine, but phone calls are invasive and should be reserved for urgent issues.
