Most of us over 40 here couldn't make 50k a year posting on Tick Tock Like you had to take that job for 39K because you wanted to go the big city and experience slightly the world didn't act like this. People like Gen Z's lazy I'm like Gen Z has options.

I’ve worked in trucking and construction and from what I’ve heard they need more bodies than ever, but I see very few gen z stepping up. I also have a friend in plumbing and he said it’s the same. I know there are always exceptions, but I cannot be convinced that gen z has strong work ethic

We had places to go and people to see. Most of us worked for what we have today.

Options but many of gen z is lazy because rather than taking the shit job while also taking the risk, they just take the risk and become a drop in a sea of BS on TikTok. We havent seen the fallout from this upcoming generation yet. I think it is going to lead to an even easier way of AI becoming even more powerful and influential because they do not want to be genuinely influential but rather just comfortable with the least amount of effort.

GenZ is has so many options – some may be lazy, but those who aren't are rocking things way earlier than previous generations.

Most people under 40 can’t make $50,000 on tik tok either but you are and over so is that even true?

I’m a Zillenial so I’ve gotten the best of both worlds. Yes tik tok makes money, but not that much. It’s not tik tok paying them. It’s their marketing tactics to other things that make money. Back in the day, you had to pay for advertisement. Now you get paid to advertise. It’s not the same world. Now the downfall? Every platform sinks. It may take years but there will always be a next big thing. Tik Tok could disappear tomorrow. Do you know how much money people would lose if that happened ? Also – the housing market is another good example of everything has a hype period. Sure, you may make 100,000+ in a year from it. That’s why banks were so zealous about handing out house loans in 2020. 50%+ of those people also filed bankruptcy / foreclosed not even 2 years later. Always remember, money is temporary so invest it for the long haul. Make it a bill so you don’t see it as a loss, it’s just another part of expenses. But instead of it going to a provider, it’s going to your future self. Compound interest is the way to go. The world of finance is like technology – it’s changing at drastic speed. We can’t rely on old knowledge for the new world. Our ancestors didn’t prepare us for the internet.

I remember my 1st "real" job back in the earlier 90's, I was 21or 22. My boss scared the 💩 out of me when he said "stick with me and you'll be making $30k by the time you're 30. I wanted more but didn't know better.😢
